(Q) UFO’S; what are they? Where do they come from? Does the Bible give us any answers?
( Factual Statements from Presidents & Global Rulers )
(A) The modern era UFO phenomenon began in 1947 with the Kenneth Arnold “flying saucer” sighting and the infamous Roswell incident. People from all walks of life, levels of education, positions of power or academia have seen UFO’S or aliens. It isn’t a regional, national or religious sect phenomenon. No, this so called delusion is taking place around the world, and on a regular basis.
In 1974, President Ronald Reagan recounting his close encounter during his term as Governor of California had this to say: I was in a plane last week, when I looked out the window and saw this white light. It was zigzagging around. I went up to the pilot and said, “Have you ever seen anything like that?” He was shocked and he said, “Nope.” And I said to him, “Let’s follow it!” We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield, and all of a sudden to our utter amazement it went straight up into the heavens. When I got off the plane, I told Nancy all about it, but we didn’t file a report on the object because for a long time they considered you a nut if you saw a UFO.
President Jimmy Carter also had a personal UFO sighting in 1969. He had this to say about it: “It was the darndest thing I’ve ever seen. It was big, it was very bright, it changed colors and it was about the size of the moon. We watched it for ten minutes, but none of us could figure out what it was. One thing’s for sure, I’ll never make fun of people who say they’ve seen unidentified objects in the sky. If I become President, I’ll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and the scientists.”
Some other Presidents like Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, even Prince Phillip, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth all are, or were believers that both UFO’S and aliens are real.
So what is the truth about UFO’S?? Where do they come from?? Can we even know what they are, and what their purpose might be?? I hope in the rest of this article I can give you some real answers to these questions; straight from the Bible. What I am going to show you may look like something out of a science fiction novel; but truth can be stranger than fiction. Please stay with me as we go back in time before the creation of Adam. This is not fiction, but what is reveled in God’s word the Holy Bible. There will be a lot of Scripture to look at, but in order to bring the truth to light about UFO’S, it is necessary to show you what took place long ago, before the creation of the physical universe, and then up into our present time period.
(Before) Creation of the Original Earth
Before the creation of the earth and heavens, our God had also created something else. He created the angelic realm BEFORE Genesis 1: 1. Angels were created to live with God in the Fourth Dimension. They were spectators at the creation of the universe. The book of Job teaches this in Job 38: 4- 7, where God is speaking to Job, (4) “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. (5) Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? (6) To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone (7) when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” Angels are called ‘sons of God’ in the Old Testament and are ‘sons’ by creation.
Almighty God created all the angels at one time. They are mentioned at the beginning of the book of Job (Job 1: 6; 2:1). They SHOUTED FOR JOY at the creation of the earth, probably led by Lucifer, their leader. The ‘morning stars singing together, is explained by Psalm 19: 1-6, 1(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. (the HEAVENS), stars, suns, planets declaring the glory of God.
(Creation of the Original Earth)
We now come to Genesis 1: 1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (NKJV).
‘IN THE BEGINNING’ refers to the introduction of ‘time’ as we know it into God’s universe. This phrase also refers to the beginning of the existence of the third dimension, the dimension we live in and the dimension that encompasses the whole universe. “In the beginning” DOES NOT REFER TO GOD HIMSELF. God has always existed; He has no beginning. God is eternal, and is spoken of in this way in Deut. 33:27, Rom. 1:20, and in Rom. 16:26.
This same phrase, in the beginning, in John 1:1-2 refers to the dateless past BEFORE Genesis 1: 1, so that chronologically, John 1: 1-2 comes before Genesis 1: 1. The ‘beginning’ found in 1 John 1:1 refers to our Lord’s earthly life and ministry. ‘GOD’ in the Hebrew is ELOHIM, a plural noun in form but singular in meaning when it refers to the true God. It is used 32 times in Genesis 1 and is the only word for ‘God’ in the first chapter.
Further revelation shows that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Godhead, is to receive credit for the creation of the original earth. The creative work of the Son of God is set forth in Colossians, John, and in Ephesians —– Col. 1: 16, “For by Him all things were CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were CREATED through Him and for Him.” John. 1 :3, “All things were MADE through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Eph. 3:9, “And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who CREATED all things through Jesus Christ.” See also Hebrews 1 :2.
Our Lord was there when Lucifer was created in all of his beauty, and He witnessed the downfall of this beautiful angel when he sinned, for Jesus said in Luke 10: 18, I saw satan FALL like lightning from heaven.” This does not mean that satan sinned in heaven. Rather, it refers to when he brought into heaven his evil ideas and plans, and God cast him out of heaven. However, satan still has access to
heaven, as we know from reading Job, chapters 1 and 2. Satan is very active today, being called ‘the god of this age’ in 2 Cor. 4: 4. But in the coming Tribulation Period, satan will be cast out of heaven permanently by God (Rev. 12:9-12).
The word ‘create’ is from the Hebrew verb BARA, meaning “ create, make.” This verb speaks of creation OUT OF NOTHING, as expressed by the Latin phrase ‘ex nihilo’ used by theologians. BARA is used 49 times in the Old Testament. Only God can create in the sense denoted by BARA. He brought forth the universe out of nonexistent material (Heb. 11: 3) . Creation was supernatural. BARA was used 7 times in Genesis 1 and 2, translated ‘created’ each time: Gen. 1: 1, ‘God CREATED the heavens and the earth’ Gen. 1: 21, ‘God CREATED great sea creatures and every living thing that moves’ Gen. 1 :27, ‘God CREATED man in His own image; in the image of God He CREATED him; male and female He CREATED them.’ Gen. 2:3, ‘all His work which God had CREATED and made.’ Gen. 2: 4, ‘the heavens and the earth when they were CREATED. ‘
BARA is also used of the creation of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28:13,15.
How did God create the universe? In addition to the reference made to Job 38: 4- 7, God spoke and it happened, suddenly. Psalm 33:6 says, “By the WORD of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breathe of His mouth.” Verse 9 of this same Psalm says, “For He spoke and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.” See also Psalm 148: 5.
We also read in the Psalms that God used His hands to form the heavens and the earth: “Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands” (Psalm 102:25). See also Psalm 8:3, 95:5, and 143:5.
The phrase ‘the heavens and the earth’ is also found in Gen. 2: 1, but the Hebrew is different. According to the notes of the COMPANION BIBLE on Genesis 1: 1 and 2: 1, the phrase in 1: 1 contains the Hebrew particle ETH before each, emphasizing the article ‘the,’ while in 2:1 the Hebrew particle is not there, indicating a difference between the two phrases. This would tend to show that the heavens and earth of Gen. 1:1 are different from the heavens and earth of Gen. 2:1.
Why was the earth created by God? Besides the reason given in Col. 1: 16, that of being created for Him, Christ Jesus, the other reason is found in Isaiah 45:18, “For thus says the LORD, Who created [BARA] the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create [BARA] it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is no other” (NKJV).
The only thing that concerns us now is the phrase ‘to be inhabited.’ The earth was formed to be the home of God’s creatures, an unchanging principle of God. Something was supposed to 1ive on the original earth of Genesis 1: 1. Remember, we are not discussing Genesis 1: 3-31 yet.
(The Testimony of Ezekiel)
The prophet Ezekiel throws light on the inhabitants of the original creation, as well as Isaiah and Jeremiah. We will look at Ezekiel first.
Ezekiel chapter 28 deals with two different personages: (1) the prince of Tyre in verses 1:10, and (2) the King of Tyre in verses 11-19. The law of double reference in relation to both passages shows that God was addressing the one who was behind the prince and king of Tyre in Ezekiel, and behind the King of Babylon in Isaiah 14. The following is what Ezekiel teaches in verses 11-19 of chapter 28:
( 11) “Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ( 12) Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD: You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. (13) You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created [BARA]. (14) You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. (15) You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created [BARA], till iniquity was found in you. (16) By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned; therefore, I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God; and I destroyed you, 0 covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones. (17) Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, that they might gaze at you. (18) You defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading; therefore I brought fire from your midst; it devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you. (19) All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; you have become a horror, and shall be no more forever” (Ez.28:11-19).
How are we to understand this passage – in a literal sense or in a figurative sense? It is a combination of both, using spiritual common sense. Too many problems come up if we either take it 100% literal or 100% figurative. For example, if we believe in complete literalness, then can we say that angels can be turned into literal ‘ashes’ mentioned in verse 19? I think not. Angels are spirit beings from another dimension, and ‘ashes’ refers to the completeness of God’s judgment on him. If we believe that this passage must be understood in a completely figurative way, then what does it represent? It could represent anything you wanted it to mean. If you have 10 people giving their views from a figurative standpoint, you will have 10 different viewpoints with no understanding of what the passage means.
This passage describes in detail the beginnings of Lucifer BEFORE he sinned against God. Isaiah 14:12 calls him Lucifer, son of the morning. Let’s look at the key words first.
The first word is ‘cherub,’ mentioned twice, in verses 14 and 16. ‘Cherubs’ or ‘cherubim’ is a class of angels or spirit beings to which Lucifer belonged. This proves that the king of Tyre of verse 12 is more than a mere man; no human being is called a ‘cherub’ in the Scriptures. Angels can take on the form of a man , Gen. 19:1-5 but man cannot take on the form of an angel. Man is a lower form of creation under angels (Heb.2:7).
Lucifer is called the anointed cherub who covers (v. 14) and a covering cherub (v. 16). The words ‘covers’ and ‘covering’ refer to his responsibility of protecting and ruling the original earth of Genesis 1: 1. Verse 14 also says that God established him or put the earth into his hands with authority to rule over it. It is interesting that the Hebrew word for ‘established’ (‘set’ KJV) was used of God ‘delivering’ (KJV) or ‘giving’ (NKJV) the earth into Noah’s hands after the flood. Noah was given authority over the earth AFI’ER the flood (Gen. 9:2-3) just like Lucifer was given authority over the original earth BEFORE he sinned.
The word ‘earth’ in verse 18 is also referred to by the word ‘ground’ in verse 17, being the same Hebrew word. It can also mean ‘land,’ and is the same word translated ‘earth’ in Genesis 1: 1. So what we actually have in Genesis 1: 1 and 2 is the fact that the ‘dry LAND’ of verse 1 became the ‘wet LAND’ of verse 2.
The ‘peoples’ of verse 19 is NOT a reference to the human race through Adam. It corresponds to the ‘nations’ of Isaiah 14:12 and the ‘cities’ of Jer. 4:26. There was some type of living beings on the original earth who were grouped together as nations, living in cities, ruled by kings (Ezek. 28:17). They were able to live on the earth like human beings.
These peoples could have been of the angelic orders that we are familiar within the Old Testament, or they could have been something entirely different. The infinite variety and imagination of God is beyond our understanding. In fact, some of God’s creation today on this earth still waits to be discovered by man. The many varieties of vertebrates (creatures with backbones) and invertebrates (creatures without back- bones) created by God for this earth is just awesome to behold. I have no problem in believing that God created some type of living creature to populate the original earth. Isaiah stated very clearly that the earth was created to be inhabited (Isa. 45:18). (If you have problems about what God can create, just go to Revelation 4:6-8 and read about the descriptions of the four living creatures around the throne of God).
When God created Lucifer, he was the most beautiful of all the angels. He was perfect in beauty, but the Bible does not say he was ‘holy.’ Therefore, it was possible for him to sin, which he did. This can be said also of Adam and Eve. There are two accounts of their creation by God, in Genesis 1:26-27 and in Genesis 2:7, 21-22. Adam and Eve were not created holy; they were created perfect and sinless (which is not the same as being holy). If they had passed the test and said ‘no’ to satan in the garden of Eden, THEN they would have become holy like God. The angels that DID NOT follow Lucifer into sin are called ‘holy angels’ (Matt. 25:31; Rev. 14:10). They passed the test by rejecting what Lucifer offered them.
This magnifies the wonderful truth that TODAY in this Age of grace members of the Body of Christ are called ‘HOLY ones’ (saints), not because we have passed the test but because we were TOTALLY UNABLE to pass the test. We were dead in sin (Eph. 2: 1). OUR Saviour, Who is holy Luke 1:35; 4:34; Mark 1:24; Acts 3:14; 4:27,30 died on the cross for our sins, and when we accept Him as our Saviour we become ‘holy’ as He is holy (2 Cor. 5:21). His righteousness is put to our account in exchange for our sins.
Back in Ezekiel 28: 13 it mentions a garden of God called Eden. Is it the same Eden that Adam and Eve lived in? I don’t think so because of the description of the nine precious stones that are mentioned in verse 13. No rivers are mentioned, either. The whole atmosphere is different from the garden of Eden of Gen. 2:9,15. ‘Stones’ are also mentioned in Ezk.28: 14 and 16. They may or may not be the ‘stones’ of verse 13. That is where the emphasis was. The Eden of Adam and Eve was called ‘the garden of
Eden’ instead of ‘the garden of God’ (Gen. 2:15) and was created by God at the time of the creation of Adam. The emphasis there was on vegetation and four rivers (Gen.2:8-14).
There seemed to be some kind of social system on earth that included music. The mention of ‘timbrels’ (‘tabrets’ KJV) refers to tambourines or drums (Strong’s Concordance, page 125 in Hebrew dictionary), and could lead us to believe that there was some kind of musical expression back then on the original earth. ‘Pipes’ are associated with ‘timbrels’ and could be another musical instrument. The Hebrew word is vague.
For a time everything went well for Lucifer as he ruled over the original earth for God. His throne was on earth on the holy mountain of God Ezk. 28: 14. This was the capital of his kingdom. It’s just a guess to say how long this idyllic life lasted, but eventually something went wrong.
(The Testimony of Isaiah)
Now let us read what Isaiah taught about that time, in Isaiah 14: 12-15: (12) “How you are fallen from heaven, 0 Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! (13) For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven; I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of
the north; (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. (15) Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit” (Isa. 14:12-15 NKJV).
(The Sin of Lucifer)
There is a progression of thought in the two passages under consideration from Ezekiel and Isaiah. Ezekiel says that the beauty of Lucifer led him to sin, that is, he was proud of his beauty and splendor and responsibility over God’s creation (1 Tim. 3:6), and Isaiah reveals what was in Lucifer’s heart.
The word ‘trading’ used in Ezekiel 28:16 and 18 also means ‘merchandise’ and ‘traffic’ (KJV). This is a strong hint of some kind of social order on the original earth. The ‘trading’ contributed to the downfall of Lucifer and produced violence or maybe a violent attitude within him that led to sin. What he did was against God’s will. The’ iniquities’ even extended to the sanctuaries where God was to be worshipped by those on the original earth. It is thought that those places would be the best places to get God’s attention in rebellion against Him. ‘Sanctuaries’ is plural, so there were more than one on the original earth.
The context of what Lucifer said in his heart is found in more detail in Isaiah. This passage could refer to the ‘iniquities’ that Ezekiel mentioned. Five times it is recorded in Isaiah 14 what Lucifer’s plans were, and it seems that this knowledge about his idea of wanting to be like God was made known to all the ones who lived on the original earth.
The language of Isaiah 14:12-15 indicates that Lucifer changed his attitude and philosophy while on earth. He was not satisfied with ruling the social system on earth. He had greater ambitions, that of being like God and ruling the universe with Him. (Could it have been possible that maybe he wanted the position that the Lord Jesus Christ had back at that time)?
We also must keep in mind that Lucifer WAS NOT a holy angel. He was a perfect, beautiful sinless angel and nothing more. ‘ Perfection’ and ‘holiness’ are two separate subjects. They are not synonymous. Those who are holy, like God and the Lord Jesus Christ, CAN NOT SIN. They are ABOVE that possibility.
Five times Lucifer said ‘I will:
(1) I will ascend into heaven (Isa. 14:13)
(2) I will exalt my throne above the stars of God (v. 13)
(3) I will sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north (v. 13)
(4) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds (v. 14)
(5) I will be like the Most High (v. 14).
If you have read Ezekiel 28:11-19 carefully, you should have noticed that God answered Lucifer’s five “I will’s with six I will’s” of His own, two each in verses 16, 17, and 18.
Lucifer’s rebellion against God was from the vantage point of the earth. This is important because most everyone thinks that Lucifer sinned in heaven rather than on earth. He had access to heaven; he could come and go from heaven when it was necessary, but he wanted to rule from God’s position in heaven. He wanted to take his throne from earth and put it up there with God’s throne in heaven (v.-13 ABOVE the stars; v. 14 -ABOVE the clouds). Instead of leading the worship of God upon the earth, he wanted to be the main one in the congregation on the farthest sides of the north. (‘ Congregation’ would refer to God’s creatures who worship Him). In fact, he really wanted to be like the Most High, a title of God having to do with being the possessor of heaven and earth (Gen. 14: 19,22), probably the only title of God he was familiar with. Could you say that he was jealous of God?
(Death)
When Lucifer sinned against God, he brought DEATH into God’s universe. Death is the result of sin, as Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death.” This can also be seen in the descriptive language of Ezekiel 28: 16, 18, 19; (16) ” and I DESTROYED you, o covering cherub, (18) Therefore I brought FIRE from your midst; it DEVOURED you, and I turned you to ASHES upon the earth, (19) You have become a HORROR, and shall be no more forever.”
The capitalized words speak of God’s judgment on Lucifer because of his sin. FIRE was the means of judging this angel. This calls to mind the words of our Lord in Matt. 25:41, ” Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting FIRE prepared for THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS.” His sin against God not only brought death into existence but also the Lake of fire mentioned in Rev. 20:10, where he and his angels will spend eternity.
The Hebrew word for ‘destroyed’ in verse 16 above also means ‘to die,’ even though it is not translated ‘die’ in the Old Testament (Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words, page 77 in the Old Testament section, under the heading ‘to perish;’ 1985). Lucifer immediately experienced spiritual death or what is called ‘the second death,’ which is eternal separation from God. There is no salvation for him and the angels who sinned with him. ‘Horror’ (‘terror’ KJV) refers to ‘trouble,’ which is an accurate
word to describe the workings of satan since then. He causes nothing but trouble.
There are five results of Lucifer’s sin:
(1) Sin and evil came into God’s perfect universe and will remain until the creation of the new heaven and earth of Rev. 21: 1
(2) Death came into existence
(3) Many angels went along with Lucifer and they have become known as the ‘fallen angels’
(4) God had to create the Lake of Fire for Lucifer’s eternal home
(5) His sin caused the desolation of the original earth of Genesis 1: 1.
The judgment of Lucifer by God brought about the desolation or overthrow of the earth, as is described in Genesis 1 :2. The original earth and its inhabitants had to be destroyed because of all the sin and iniquities that abounded, especially those sins in relation to the places of worship on the earth, the ‘sanctuaries’ of Ezek. 28:18.
Where did the original concept of ‘evil’ come from? One thing we can be sure of – it didn’t come from God. Romans 5: 12 speaks of Adam as being the one who brought sin into the human race, and thus all of us are born into the world as sinners.
(The Testimony of Jeremiah)
What else was upon the original earth? We need to turn to Jeremiah 4:23-26 for that answer:
(23) “I beheld the earth and indeed it was without form and void; and the heavens, they had no light. (24) I beheld the mountains and indeed they trembled, and all the hills moved back and forth. (25) I beheld and indeed there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled. (26) I beheld and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down at the presence of the LORD, by His fierce anger” (Jer. 4:23-26 NKJV). This passage is in CONTRAST with the next verse, verse 27: “For thus says the LORD: The whole land shall be desolate; yet I will not make a full end.”
Jeremiah is often called the ‘weeping prophet’ because of the many evil and abominable things Israel did that Jeremiah preached against. His message was basically a negative one but did include repentance and God’s mercy upon His people. Jeremiah chapter 4 is one of these chapters that also included God’s judgments against their LAND if they would not change their minds (repentance). And to prove his point, he told them about what happened to the original earth, how it had become without form and void, in order to show Israel just what God could do. But God would be merciful to them and not judge the land as He did the original earth; He would NOT MAKE A FULL END of judgment against them.
What Jeremiah wrote about in verses 25-26 describe a complete social order on the original earth, people, birds, fruitful land, mountains, cities – agreeing with Ezekiel 28: 19 (peoples) and Isaiah 14: 12 (nations). Jeremiah goes a little further and adds ‘birds,’ ‘fruitful land,’ and ‘mountains.’ It was God’s fierce anger against Lucifer’s sin that caused the upheaval we read about in Genesis 1: 2.
Again, let me state that we need to take this in a literal way. If this cannot be agreed upon, then the only other alternative for believers is to believe that it is figurative.
If we must believe in a figurative understanding of what Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel have written about the original earth and its inhabitants, then on the same grounds we can make the facts of creation in Genesis 1 and 2 to be figurative, and completely do away with the creation of God. This would really play into the hands of the evolutionists.
Another indication that there were living creatures on the original earth is what God told Adam and Eve to do in Genesis 1: 28, “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it ” (NKJV). The word ‘fill’ used by the (NKJV) is translated ‘replenish‘ by the (KJV). This word strongly implies the idea of repetition because of the way it is used of Noah in Gen. 9:1. God gave Noah the very same command He gave Adam and Eve, to replenish, refill, fill up, fill the earth with human beings. Since the actual fulfillment was true of Noah, why can’t it also be true of Adam and Eve? Why does the command to our first parents have to be different from the one given to Noah? We need to see that the King James Version had it right when it used ‘replenished’ in Gen. 1:28 and in Gen. 9:1, and in five other verses in the Old Testament (Isa. 2:6; 23:2; Jer. 31:25; and Ezek. 26:2; 27:25).
How much TIME should we allot for the existence of the original earth of Genesis 1: 1? Remember, the Bible does not tell us how long the original earth existed, so it is basically guesswork in determining how long it lasted. Should we believe what the evolutionists teach, that the earth came into existence billions of years ago? I don’t think so, for even evolutionists are only guessing; they don’t know for sure, either, but billions of years does seem quite excessive. They need this great amount of time because they believe that everything evolved rather slowly. And since they leave God out of the picture, millions and billions of years. is the only proper way to understand the workings of evolution.
As a fundamental Bible teacher, my guess would be that maybe a few hundred years at most could be allotted for the existence of the original earth. How much is a ‘few’? That depends on the subject involved. Our Lord stated in Matt. 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Here’ few’ is less than ‘many.’ That is the way ‘few’ is to be understood, as less than the many millions and billions of years of the evolutionary theory. A’ few hundred years’ can be any reasonable amount of years you want it to be. If we limit ‘few’ to the number ‘fifty’ (50) and say that fifty centuries is a good representation of the amount of time, that would equal 5,000 years (50 x 100 = 5,000). If this number does not satisfy you, then you can pick your own number. There is a lot of latitude in choice.
It would seem that God would create the original earth as a complete package ready to function as a unit when the time was ready. This is what He did with Adam and Eve. He had created all the creatures in the sea, all the animals on the land, all the birds of the air, and all the vegetation on the land. Everything was ready for the creation of Adam and Eve. What they had to do was to populate the earth with human beings (Genesis 1:28)
(So what are UFO’S?)
So far in this article I have shown you that God created Angels sometime in the dateless past before there was a physical universe; this was before Genesis 1:1. These Angels are spirit beings who live in the fourth dimension, and cannot die. At some point God created the physical universe including the earth, and all the Angels shouted for joy; this was at the time of Genesis 1:1. The earth was created to be inhabited, and it was where the Angels were going to live. There was also some type of living beings created on the original earth along with birds and other animals. These living beings were grouped together as nations, living in cities, ruled by kings.
Lucifer the anointed cherub who was perfect in beauty and sinless was given authority by God to rule over the earth, including all the other Angels and all other living physical beings. Everything was going perfect until Lucifer became proud of his beauty and splendor and responsibility over God’s creation. After time Lucifer decided he wanted to be like God; in fact he wanted to take God’s place and rule over the whole universe because of his great pride. Lucifer convinced one third of all the Angels to help him knock God off His Throne; Revelation 12:3,7-12. So Lucifer led the invasion of heaven, but to his surprise, he and the angels with him were no match for the Almighty God who created the Angels and the universe in the first place. They were all cast back down to the earth in the blink of an eye, and Lucifer now called satan experienced complete defeat and total humiliation in the face of all those who he was ruling over on earth. Now satan and God are adversaries, but God is always in complete and total control and satan and his angels cannot do anything without His (God’s) permission; Job 2:3-6. Satan brought sin into God’s creation because of his rebellion against God. All the Angels had free will to choose right from wrong, and they were all perfect and sinless until one third of them rebelled against God. The one third that rebelled became evil and their character was permanently set for eternity; they cannot ever be sinless again. The rest of the Angels that did not rebel became holy Angels and their character is also set for eternity. So now we have one third who are evil and are following satan in his rebellion against God; and two thirds who did not rebel against God and are holy Angels who will always follow God in His Holy and Righteous ways.
Now at this point I can tell you that UFO’S are manifestations of the evil spirits from the fourth dimension who followed Lucifer in rebelled against God a long time ago. They have an agenda against God to thwart His plans for His best creation, (Human beings). Remember these fallen angels are spirit, they cannot die, and have the ability to manifest themselves into men and in ways we don’t understand, or know about as humans. UFO’S are manifestations of these spirit beings. They want us as humans to think what we see as UFO’S are really beings from another planet somewhere in outer space. Again there is a reason for these deceptive manifestations. If you are following me so far; you now know what UFO’S are and where they are coming from;( manifestations from the evil spirits, (or the angels who rebelled against God) and live in the fourth dimension). They are not beings from another world, but here on earth. I told you Truth is stranger than fiction!
A few more important question we should ask is; WHY? Why do these evil spirits want humans to believe in, and see these manifestations of UFO’S? What are they trying to accomplish? Let’s see if we can answer these questions.
Everything we have discussed so far in this article took place before Genesis 1: 2 in the Bible. Let’s look at Genesis 1: 2 now and see what it says: “ 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” So now after all that happened before Gen. 1:2; God tells us in Gen. 1:2 that the earth was now without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. What happened to the nations, cities, birds and all the other life forms that were here on earth before Gen. 1:2?
There was judgment brought upon the earth because of Lucifer’s sin and all the wickedness he brought about on earth after his rebellion against God. It seems that only the earth was affected by Lucifer’s sin. As we look at Genesis 1:2 we can see what happened to the earth because of God’s judgment. The Hebrew word for ‘earth’ is ERET’S, meaning ‘land, country, dry ground, earth.’ It is used 20 times in
Genesis 1, and is called ‘dry land’ in verse 10. If we use the meaning of ‘dry land’ in the translation of verse 1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the dry land,” then we have a contrast between the DRY LAND of verse 1 and the WET LAND of verse 2, indicating that the earth was flooded sometime after its original creation.
The phrase ‘without form’ is from the Hebrew word TOHU, meaning ‘waste, desolation, confusion.’ It is a special word used only 21 times in the Old Testament (Gen. 1:2–without form; Deut. 32:10-waste; 1 Sam. 2:21-vain (twice); Job 6:18– nothing; 12:24-wilderness; 26:7-empty; Psalm 107:40-wilderness; Isaiah 24:10– confusion; 29:21-nought; 34:11-confusion; 40:17 (twice)-nothing, vanity; 40:23– vanity; 41:29-confusioni 44:9-vanity 45:18-vain; 45:19-vain; 49:4-noughti 59:4- vanity; Jeremiah 4:23-without form). This word has no parallel words in other languages, so we MUST understand it from Old Testament contexts (The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible by Spiros Zodhiates, page 1651, under #8414 in the Hebrew section).
As you can see by the different translations of TOHU, it has a very negative connotation in the Old Testament. For example, take Isaiah 45:18, “For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens, who is God, who formed the earth and made it, who has established it, who did not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is no other.” This is a clear statement that
God did not create Genesis 1:2 in that chaotic condition – a waste. Genesis 1:2 could not be the first step in the creation of the earth. The earth was created to be inhabited, which it was, as we have seen in chapter 1. The description found in Genesis 1:2 is one of NEGATIVENESS, not one of positiveness as the critics teach.
The Hebrew word for ‘void’ is BOHU, meaning ’empty, ruin, void.’ It is also a special word that is used only three times in the Old Testament (Gen. 1:2; Isaiah 34:11; Jer. 4:23). It is always used with TOHU, waste.
The two words together – TOHU and BOHU, waste and ruin – are translated as follows in the NKJV: Genesis 1: 2, ‘The earth was without form and void; Isaiah 34:11, The line of confusion and the stones of emptiness.’ (This chapter deals with the vengeance of God in the Day of the LORD, with verse 11 describing the destruction of Edom, named in verse 6). Jeremiah 4:23, ‘I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form and void; and the heavens, they had no light.’
The setting of each verse is one of chaos and destruction. The Holy Spirit’s use of TOHU and BOHU teach us about what the earth became after God’s judgment on Lucifer and his sin.
If verse 2 is supposed to describe the first step in the creation of the earth, wouldn’t you think it would use language that connoted a positive effect instead of the other way around? I am sure the Hebrew language has words for just that purpose, but they are certainly not used in Genesis 1:2.
But this is not all; there are other words, too. The word ‘darkness’ is used in two different ways in Genesis 1: (1) In Gen. 1: 2 it is used in a bad sense, and (2) in Gen. 1:4-5 it is used in a good sense when
the first day was divided into Day (light) and Night (darkness). This is repeated in Isaiah 45:7 where God said, “I form the light and create darkness.”
‘Darkness’ is not always used in a good sense in the Bible. It is used of the ways of the wicked (Proverbs 4: 19); and the fool walks in darkness (Ecc. 2: 14) . It is an integral part of the judgments of God in the Day of the LORD (Joel 2:2,31; Amos 5:18,20).
So also in Genesis 1:2. It speaks of the result of judgment because of sin. Darkness is the absence of light (Jer. 4: 23), or the opposite of light, just as ‘hate’ is the opposite of ‘love’ (Rom. 9:13). But in order to have ‘darkness,’ there needs to be ‘light’ first. This would mean that in the original creation of the heavens and earth in Genesis 1: 1, the sun, the moon, and the stars were created as a part of the heavens, and were in existence during the time of earth’s first inhabitants. But with Divine judgment bringing ‘darkness’ in verse 2, the light of the sun, moon, and stars was not able to shine on the earth,
leaving it in total darkness.
The phrases ‘the face of the deep’ and ‘the face of the waters’ refer to the same thing, the flood of waters that covered the earth. Peter referred to this time in 2 Peter 3:5-6, (5) “For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old and the earth standing out of water and in the water, (6) by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.” Notice what Peter said about the original earth – the world (Gr. KOSMOS – world system) that then existed, PERISHED.
Peter used a strong Greek word for ‘perish,’ APOLLUMI, used 92 times in the New Testament, meaning ‘to destroy utterly, to perish, to kill, ruin, be lost.’ It does not mean ‘annihilation.’ Evidently it was common knowledge back in the first century AD that the original earth was totally ruined by the fall of Lucifer, that God’s righteousness demanded judgment.
Back to Gen. 1:2. The Hebrew word for ‘deep’ means ‘deep water, ocean, water table, flood of waters.’ It is used just 36 times in the Old Testament, and only once in Genesis 1. It seems that the whole earth was covered by water. This is quite a testimony to the destruction of the original earth. The language is extremely negative.
From what we have given you so far I hope you can begin to see a little better what took place a long time ago in the past. There was nothing but God Himself until he created the Angels. Then he created the original earth for the Angels. The earth was home for the Angles. God also created other living life forms on the earth and some of them must have been similar to human life like ourselves. Lucifer was given rulership over the whole earth. Things went along fine for an unspecified amount of time until Lucifer became proud of his beauty, his power, splendor and great responsibility. At some point he rebelled against God along with one third of the Angels. He led an invasion against Heaven in the attempt to knock God off His Throne and take His place. This resulted in total failure and he was cast back to the earth in defeat. After his defeat he caused nothing but trouble and great wickedness develped upon the earth. God’s judgment for Lucifer’s sin of rebellion was to destroy everything physical that he created, but did not destroy the Angles, as they were created as eternal spirit beings and cannot die. God flooded the entire earth with water and nothing physical survived. We see the result of God’s judgment on the earth in Genesis 1:2, but all these things happened before Genesis 1:2.
God and Lucifer, (now called satan the devil) are now enemies along with one third of the angels who followed satan in rebellion against GOD. Satan lost all that he was ruling over after his rebellion, but he and his angels are still here on the earth. Now they have nothing but intense hostility toward God and His plans for the future. I want to point out that there is no struggle going on between God and satan. Because of God’s foreknowledge of all things, He was not caught off guard by any of this. God always is, and always will be, in complete control of everything that takes place. The only struggle going on is with satan trying to thwart God’s plans which will never happen.
After Genesis 1:2 God begins to restore the earth again to make it habitable for His new creation, (man). He creates Adam and Eve and what happens. God gives Adam the following command in Genesis 2:16-17: 16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. We know that Eve disobeyed and ate of the fruit first and then she gave some to Adam and he did eat also. In Genesis 3 we find out the serpent was the one who deceived Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit of the garden. So right after God creates Adam and Eve, satan manifesting himself as the serpent and begins to cause problems for mankind.
Sin now enters into our world through Adam: Romans 5:12,18,19: 12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 18Therefore as by the offence of one, (Adam) judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one, (Christ Jesus) the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.19For as by one man’s disobedience, (Adam) many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one, (Christ Jesus) shall many be made righteous. In the verses quoted above, 12, 18, 19 we have the reason why satan and the fallen angels are trying to deceive mankind into believing in UFO’S. Satan succeeded in the Garden by deceiving Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, thereby bringing sin into our world, which has brought condemnation upon all of mankind as we see in verse 12. But as we see in verses 18 and 19, mankind can be saved from eternal death through the righteousness of Christ Jesus. This is what satan is trying to prevent. Satan wants to keep man in a sinful state so man will not come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior; thereby he cannot receive forgiveness of his sins and receive the free gift of eternal life. Remember, satan hates God and His plans for mankind, so he will do anything he can to prevent man from being reconciled back to God through Christ. As I said before in this article, when satan sinned he became God’s adversary and that will never change. Satan’s eternal destiny is revealed in Revelation 20:10: 10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Not only is the lake of fire the eternal destiny of satan and all the other fallen angels, but also it is for all human beings who die in their sins. Satan knows this and wants to take as many people as possible along with him when he is cast into that eternal lake of fire. Satan is trying to keep man from reaching his eternal destiny of reigning with Christ: 11 Timothy 2:12: 12If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: Romans 8:17: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:30: 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Colossians 3:4: 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
We must not forget that Satan and his heavenly hosts now rule the world behind the scenes. As “the god of this age” he “blinds the minds of them that believe not” (II Cor. 4:4). As “the prince of the powers of the air” he “now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Eph. 2:2) and the principalities and powers under him are called “the rulers of the darkness of this age” (Eph. 6:12). Indeed ,(1 John 5:19) tell us, literally, that “the whole world lieth in the lap of the wicked one.”
Satan is using many forms of deception today, one of which is the UFO manifestations which we have covered in this article; using these things to draw our attention away from God and His Glorious plan for man. UFO’S are real, but as I have explained, they are not beings from another planet, but fallen angels from the fourth dimension living here, on and around, our own planet, EARTH.
Satan is deceiving the leaders of the world by these UFO manifestations, preparing them for the Battle of Armageddon, which as we read in Rev. 16:14 is also called “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” This will take place at christ second coming to take over control of the world. | |
Let’s read Revelation 16:13-16: |
13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.14For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.15Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.16And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Rev. 9: 13-16: 13And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,14Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.15And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. Verse 16 say’s there will be an army of two hundred million, (or two hundred thousand thousand). That’s one big army!
At the end of the seventh bowl of wrath in the book of Rev., everything is ready for the return of Christ and His armies to wrestle one of the most important battles against the forces of evil.
The deceived humans would have been fed a constant lie by the media and will believe that the attacking forces are aliens coming from outer space — very rightly so, but these “aliens” are actually Christ and His armies. The humans on Earth will be fighting God Himself, just as they did during the first coming of Christ, in which they crucified Him. The difference now is that Christ is not coming to Earth as the Lamb to allow Himself to be slaughtered; He is returning as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He will win this battle against Satan.
This great slaughter of the Antichrist and his armies will take place in and around the valley of Megiddo near Haifa in Israel. It will mark the end of man’s cruel rule on earth, as Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and His Heavenly forces forcibly take over the World to rule and reign and run it the way it should have been run if man had not disobeyed God and gone his own selfish way!
So now in Rev. 19: 11-21, the Apostle John describes how Christ, the Word of God, and His armies are coming from the heavens and John sees them riding some vehicle that he describes as white horses. The deceived human armies will think this is an alien invasion from extraterrestrials (enough movies on this sort of theme) and they need to fight the “aliens.” There is a lot of information in the book of Revelation, revealing what will take place right up to the time of Christ second coming. It’s not pleasant!
Don’t be caught up in this deception, but put your attention on the one and only True Almighty God of the universe. Put your faith in Christ Jesus and His shed blood for the forgiveness of your sins. You have free will; use it to make the right choice, you will NEVER be sorry if you do!! Also if you trust in Christ as your Lord and Savior you will not go through this time of great tribulation.
In conclusion, I am going to copy off the verses in the Bible from the book of Ezekiel 1: 1-28 where Ezekiel is describing what is called his first vision from God. This is a very interesting vision. See if it fits in with our discussion about UFO’S. (Make up your own mind about what is being described here).
Hope all this information has helped you in your search for the truth about UFO’S.
John
Vision of Ezekiel 1: 1-28
1Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.2In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,3The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.4And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.5Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.6And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.7And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.8And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.9Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.10As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.11Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.12And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.14And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.15Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.17When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.18As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.19And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.20Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.22And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.23And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.24And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.25And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.26And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.27And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.28As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
