PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN

PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN

(Never known to fail.)  Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth!  I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (three times). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (three times).

Holy Spirit. You who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal. You who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy toward me and mine. The person must say this prayer three consecutive days. After three days, the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted.

The above article was published in our local Newspaper many, many times

It is not my intention to offend anyone by publishing this article on my website gracebibletimes.com, but I believe it is vital to show from the Bible what God really says about this Prayer to Mary, (Prayer to the Blessed virgin.)  I haverespect for Mary as a person, but she is not to be worshiped or prayed to.

Why did use the word VITAL above? Because In Matthew 7 Christ spoke these words while He was on the Earth in human form. Remember, Christ being God in the flesh knew all things past, present, and future. The words He spoke should shake everyone up. Are you going to be one of the many who will go into destruction? I hope you will be one of the few!! But what I am going to show you from the scriptures may surprise and upset you. But my job as a Christian is to teach the truth, no matter what anyone else may tell you about Mary.

Matthew 7:13-14: 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mary herself would be schocked if she knew how she is being worshiped by many people on this earth.

Scriptures are from the King James Bible, the only TRUE source of understanding about this Prayer to the “Blessed virgin Mary.” This is one of Satan’s greatest deceptions!!

Revelation 12:9 says:  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Yes, Satan has decived the whole world about the Blessed Virgin Mary, and many other things as well. But this is one of Satan’s best deceptions!!  His goal is to take as many people as possible to the lake of fire with him where he will be tormented day and night when God put him there sometime after the millennium.

The title of the article to Mary says: “Prayer to The Blessed Virgin,” What does God say about Prayer? 1 Timothy 2:5:  5 For there is one God, and ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. No mention of a second mediator such as Mary. In Matthew 6:9  which is under the law, Jesus Christ told His disciples to pray after this manner, therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. This was not a prayer to pray, Jesus said after this manner shall you pray. You were to pray to the Father, and hold His name in high regard (Hallowed be thy name)

Mary is not mentioned in this prayer or anyother prayer in the Bible. This should be crystal clear that no where in the Bible does God tell us to pray to Mary! When we pray it should always be to God, not Mary!

Colossians 3:17: And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

The newspaper article calls Mary the Mother of God, “Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God”

The Catholic Church has always celebrated Mary. They say everything we believe leads us closer to Jesus. If Mary is the mother of Jesus, and Jesus is God, then Mary is the mother of God. Saying Mary isn’t the mother of God denies the divinity of Jesus. This teaching is called “theotokos,” which literally means “God-bearer.”

This is Catholic teaching and has no scripture to back up what they teach about Mary being the Mother of God. This is human reasoning, God says in 1 Corinthians 1:20  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? The reasoning of the Catholic Church about Mary being the Mother of God is completely False!! Why?

John1:1-3; 14: 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. The Word was God long before Mary came into existence. He had no beginning and will have no end. Revelation 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Jesus Christ never called Mary His Mother. He referred to her as woman. John 2:1-5: 1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

The article in the paper calls Mary “ The Queen of Heaven and Earth” A  message was given to Israel by God through Jeremiah Chapter 7 verse 18: The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

Here God is telling the people that they are making cakes to the “queen of heaven,” and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke Me (GOD) to anger. God was angered because they poured out drink offerings to other GOD’S; The Queen of Heaven.

Here are four more verses from Jeremiah 44 about the “Queen of Heaven.”

Jeremiah 44:17:  But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

Jeremiah 44:18:  But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

Jeremiah 44:19:  And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

Jeremiah 44:25:  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

Then in Jeremiah 44:20-23 God tells why the Israelites were under a curse from Him, (GOD). 20 Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying, 21 The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind? 22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. 23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore, this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

As you can see, God was not pleased with those who burned incense to the queen of heaven, He put a curse upon them. In our time today Catholics are worshiping Mary as the Queen of Heaven and Earth as a god, and are in complete ingorrance that Satan is deceiving them. II Corinthians II:13-15: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The first Commandment in the Bible:

Exodus 20: And God spake all these words, saying,Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Deuteronomy 5: 8-10 Thou shalt have none other gods before me. 8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: 9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

Look at all the statues of Mary in our churches today. God said not to make any graven image, or likeness of anything that is in heaven or earth. Mankind does his own thing and disobey’s God’s command. If God says don’t do that, but man says, it’s OK to make statues of Mary the (Mother of God). What foolishness!! Remember Satan’s goal!

Below is the story that tells how Mary conceived (Jesus). Jesus was the man that Mary conceived in her womb. Christ was the God part that took on the form of a man and became flesh. Jesus Christ was 100% man and also 100% God, but Mary was not the Mother of God. God had no beginning. He was the Word as it tell us in John 1:1-14 who always existed, but He became flesh in order to pay the penalty for the sins of all mankind, even Mary. Mary, while still living, called Jesus Christ my God and my Saviour. Mary knew she was a sinner and needed a Saviour

Below in Luke 1:27-47: is the story about Mary’s conception of Jesus: Take note in verses 46 & 47.

Luke 1:27-47:  27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary, 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Why did Mary need a Saviour if she were sinless as the Catholic Church teaches?

Romans 3:10-12: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:23: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. This verse says that ALL have sinned. This would include Mary.

In John 2:4:  Jesus saith unto her (MARY), Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. Why did Jesus say this to Mary?

Because Mary needed to learn the painful lesson that as Son of God, He must deny the claims of any who would boast a closer relationship to Him on grounds of physical birth. Mary must not think of Him as “My son”. She must, like everyone else, learn to know Him as Her Lord and Saviour.

The Catholic Church says: Mary is a Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate.
They teach that Mary suffered with Jesus. As co-redemptrix, we acknowledge her intimate cooperation with Jesus in the redemption of humanity, in his amazing sacrifice for us on the cross. She bore him, raised him, supported him in his ministry, and walked with him every step of the way to his passion and death.

Scripture says: Isaiah 46:5,9-10: 5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

Acts 4:9-12: 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Titus 2:13: 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ

Scripture says that Jesus Christ is the only Saviour. It does not say anything about Mary being a Co-Redemptrix or Co-Redeemer.

The Catholic Church also teaches the Assumption or that Mary was taken body and soul into heaven. The church says: God granted Mary yet another gift. At the end of her time on earth, Mary was taken (or “assumed”) body and soul into heaven. This means Jesus and Mary are the only two people in heaven who are there in both body and soul. Jesus chose to honor and give his mother this glory in heaven.

There is no scripture in the Bible that says Mary was taken body and soul into heaven when she died!! Remember, Satan is the great deceiver. This statement by the Catholic Church is complete nonsense. The Bible says not to add or take away anything from the scriptures, Revelation 22:18-19: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. This is only one of the four scripture in the Bible about adding or taking away from scripture.

Another false statement by The Catholic Church is: Perpetual Virginity: Mary was a virgin before, during, and after the birth of Jesus. What do the scriptures say about this?

All major branches of Christianity agree that Mary was a virgin until Jesus was born. But the question of whether she continued as a virgin is not agreed on. Catholic theology teaches that Mary continued in “perpetual virginity” after the birth of Jesus, while Protestants believe she had normal marital relations with her husband and gave birth to several more children.

Mark 6:3, says, “Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” Matthew 13:55-56 says the same thing. Protestants interpret this to mean that after Jesus’ birth Joseph and Mary produced several children in the normal way. Catholics disagree. Some argue these were children of Joseph by a former wife, but there are no Scriptures to prove Joseph ever had another wife.

From the scriptures we learn that Mary and Joseph had ay least 6 or 7 other children. Perpetual Virginity just flew out the window!

Note : The words Adelphai &  Adelphoi in the below statement are Greek words found in Strongs Concordance and mean Sisters and Brothers.

In Mark 6:3:the above passage Jesus is called “the carpenter” (a very specific reference), as well as “Mary’s son” (a close family reference), and then the adelphoi are listed by name (again suggesting immediate family), and “sisters” adelphai  are mentioned as a group. Because the context uses such specific and close terms for Jesus and Mary, it is likely that the adelphoi are best understood as “brothers” and the adelphai as “sisters.”

Back to the Newspaper article we find the statement: “There are none that can withstand your power.” Agan, what do the scriptures say? There is no scripture in the Bible about Mary having power over anything!! But what about God?

Matthew 28:18:  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. The source of all power is God.

Ephisians 6:10: 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Romans 1:20: 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

I Corinthians 10:1-4: 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Colossians 1:16-19: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell. Again, no mention of Mary!!

Conclusion: Mary’s advice today would be to believe the gospel that Paul preached, “…how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the Scriptures…was buried, and…rose again the third day…” (ICor.15:1-4).

Colossians 1:20: 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

In II Timothy 3:12-17:  we learn what God says about the scriptures: 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

II Thessalonians 2:5-12: 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

11 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As it says above in II Timothy 2:15: if you want to know God’s truth, then you need to study the Bible yourself, and see if what I told you about Mary is true. Don’t trust what men say, but you can trust what God says in the scriptures, for God cannot lie. Titus 1:2: In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

God bless you, and have a good day,

John
