Rightly dividing the Word of truth

This is part 2 in a series of 53 articles about RIGHTLY DIVIDING GOD’S WORD OF TRUTH. All scripture quoted will be from the King James Bible.

The King James Bible has II Timothy 2:15 translated as it should be. Other versions of the Bible do not translate it properly. The Greek word for dividing in the KJB is “Orthotomeo.” It means to make a straight cut-to dissect correctly the divine message-rightly divide; taken fromthe Strong Complete  Dictionary of Bible Words # 3718.  If the Bible you use does not say “Rightly dividing the Word of truth,” then you will not get the correct meaning of the verse. For example; if your Bible says to “accurately” teach the Word of truth, you will not be able to teach it accurately unless you know you need to “make a straight cut” somewhere in God’s divine message.

I am going to show you how to properly divide God’s truth by “making a straight cut” in God’s divine message for mankind. The whole Bible is accurate and the true Word of God. However, all of God’s truth in the Bible is not for our doctrine, or for our obedience today. This is where confusion abounds. If you don’t understand “rightly dividing the Word of truth,” you will never understand the Bible properly.

Before I go into more detail about rightly dividing, I want to show you another reason from scripture why a lot of people cannot understand God’s Word; I Corinthians 2:9-16: 9 But as it is written,Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

God makes it very plain in the verses quoted above that anyone reading His Word must be a true Christian believer to understand what they are reading. Many claim to be Christians, but there is only one saving message for all people living today. Do you know what it is? If you don’t, you need to keep reading these articles and find out what the true salvation message is, and it has everything to do with “RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH” and nothing to do with your church affiliation.

In part 3, we will begin to rightly divide God’s Word starting with Genesis 1:1 which says: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. In this verse we find the origin of all things, and the  key to understand the bible correctly   ———     To be continued
