 Rightly dividing the Word of truth

This is part 35 in a series of 53 articles about RIGHTLY DIVIDING GOD’S WORD OF TRUTH. All scripture quoted will be from the King James Bible.

The salvation message for our present time today is very simple. It fact, it’s so simple most people don’t believe it.

Here it is, the only gospel message that will save you today, and it’s the one given to Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles. God gave this message to Paul to give to us, I Corinthians 15:1-4: 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

The gospel above by which we are saved in our present time today, includes Christ shed blood for the remission or forgiveness of our sins, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

Hebrews 9:12,22: 12Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no “remission,” (or Forgiveness of sin).

Colossians 1:14,20:  14In whom we have redemption through his bloodeven the forgiveness of sins: 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Ephesians 1:7: 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Romans 3:24-26: 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Six words in verse 25 above are very, very important– Propitiation through faith in his blood. Propitiation is act of God, motivated by His immense love, whereby He accepts the blood of Christ as the complete and satisfying sacrifice for all human sin, thus establishing a means of reconciliation between God and man. While the offering of the blood of Christ was a sufficient propitiation (payment) for the sins of the whole world, the complete benefits of His sacrifice are available only to those who by faith believe this provision for sin. This propitiation or payment, is not automatically applied to anyone, until each person personally believes by sincere faith, that Christ shed blood was the full payment for their sins. That means it’s all by faith in Christ blood, plus nothing else. If you try to add works which you have done, to the blood of Christ, then you make the sacrifice of Christ void, and you remain in your sins, in unbelief.  TO BE CONTINUED
