Rightly dividing the Word of truth

This is part 4 in a series of 53 articles about RIGHTLY DIVIDING GOD’S WORD OF TRUTH. All scripture quoted will be from the King James Bible.

In part 3 we finished up with this verse from Matthew 19:28: Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

In the above verse, where will Christ be when He sits on the throne of His glory? In the book of Luke an angel from God foretells Jesus birth, conceived in Mary’s womb by God: Luke 1:31-33: 31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David 33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. The throne of his father David is here on earth.

Right at the end of the tribulation period, the battle of Armageddon takes place, and this is about the same time when the second coming of Christ to the earth occurs. When this battle is over, then the thousand-year reign of Christ begins on the earth.

So now, what we read in Matthew 25:31 takes place at Christ second coming:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory .Zechariah 14:4-5: 4And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee, (These saints are the O.T. saints and the martyrs from the tribulation period).  Isaiah 9:7: 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

When Christ was talking about the regeneration in Matthew 19:28, He was referring to the renovation of the Jerusalemthat now exist here on the earth. Zechariah 14:8-9:  8And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day-shall there be one LORD, and his name one. We now know Christ will reign on the earth at His second coming, and the twelve apostles will be with Him, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
