Rightly dividing the Word of truth
This is part 3 in a series of 53 articles about RIGHTLY DIVIDING GOD’S WORD OF TRUTH from the King James Bible
As I stated in the last paragraph of part 2; Genesis 1:1 is the key to understand the Bible correctly which says: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. From this verse, I will show you the Bible is the record of God’s two great plans: His earthly program for the nation of Israel and all the Gentiles saved in ages past, and His heavenly program for the Church, the Body of Christ.
God’s earthly program runs from Genesis through John. Acts is a transitional book going from God’s earthly program for Israel, to the heavenly program given to the Apostle Paul, the Apostle of the Gentiles. God’s heavenly program runs from Romans through Philemon. Hebrews through Revelation reverts back to the earthly program again. It will become clear as we go along why God started with the earthly program for Israel up to the book of John, then He interrupted the earthly program and started the new heavenly program through Paul, and then back to the earthly program again. Our churches today do not understand these two different programs, or refuse to believe it because they were taught something different in their theology schools. When you understand the difference between the earthly and heavenly programs “rightly divided” it will clear up so called contradictions and confusion that many people claim to find in the Bible.
Up until around two thousand years ago, the hope of the Old Testaments saints who lived under the earthly program, was to live on a renewed earth with God as their King. Job 19:25-26 says: 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: King David also expressed the hope of this earthly program for Israel in Psalm 37:11:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace .Christ Himself said these same words as He preached His famous sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:5: 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Yes, the verses above mean exactly what they say. The O.T. saints are going to live eternally on the earth, and not in heaven like most people believe.
Also, many churches teach that John 14:2-3 which is talking about “Many Mansions” being prepared for the twelve disciples and other O.T. believers “in heaven by Christ,” mean that these people will live in heaven in these many mansions with Christ when they die. NOT TRUE!! Notice verse 3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Notice again, Christ is telling these people I am coming again, and where I am, there you will be also. The question in your mind should be, what place is Christ coming to? Christ is in heaven, but says He is coming out of heaven back to this earth. Christ talking to the disciples in Matthew 19:28 said: Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
