(Q) What does God tell us about Himself?
(A) I am a true Christian believer. I believe in the one true Almighty God of the universe who exist in three divine persons. Christ Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. I believe what God says in II Timothy 3:16-17: 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
I know and believe the KJB is the inspired Word of God. It is true and accurate without any contradictions. However, you must know how to “Rightly Divide” the Word of truth to understand it properly as it says in II Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Now that you know what I believe about the Bible, I want to show some scriptures from the Bible that you need to consider about God. Some of you reading this article may be true Christian believers or some may be professing Christians, who are not true Christians at all, while others may be an atheist, or an agnostic. Those of you who do not believe in the existence of God, or are only professing Christians, I want you to seriously think about the following scriptures:
Hebrews 10:31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. This is referring to all unbelievers.
Psalm 14:1-3: 1 (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. God Himself says, only a fool believes there is no God. What do YOU believe about God? Don’t be a fool!
Romans 1:18-23: 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.
God is telling us that no one has any excuse for not believing in Him. because you can look at His creation, and somewhere in your mind, you know there is a God who created all the wonders, and miracle of life, and all the things you see in the earth, and heavens above. God placed the knowledge of Him in everyone’s conscious. At some point in your life, you will admit that God exists!
Romans 3:3-4: 3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Everything that God promises or says in the Bible will come true; unbelief has no effect on the word of God, or His existence!
Hebrews 3:12: Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
John 3:17-21: 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
James 2:19: Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Isaiah 46:9-10: 9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. No human being on earth, or anything in the heavens above, will ever tell God what is right or wrong. He tells us what is right and wrong, like it or not!
Revelation 1:8: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. God had no beginning, and He will always exist for eternity. This is the eternal being we know as God.
Malachi 3:6: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. God Himself never changes from what He is. He is Holy, Righteous, perfect in all He does, He never makes a mistake, He cannot sin, He is a God of love, but to the unbeliever, He is a God of wrath.
Titus 1:2: In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. It’s impossible for God to lie about anything!
Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. God never changes, but He does change the way He deals with mankind down through the ages of time.
Titus 2:11-14: 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Isaiah 40:7-8: 7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Philippians 2:5-11: 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
