(Q) Why does the Bible say all have sinned?
(A) Most people do not believe they are sinners and will go to heaven when they die. However, God say’s ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God, Roman 3:23. We need to believe God’s word not what human men say.
Satan is the author of sin. He deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden. Satan convinced Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit which God said do not eat of the tree in the midst of the garden, the tree of knowledge of good and evil neither shall you touch it, lest you die. Eve being deceived by Satan she did eat of the forbidden fruit. Then she gave some of the fruit to her husband Adam and he did eat also.
Adam and Eve both disobeyed God’s command not to eat of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil. Adam knew better because God gave him the commend not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve was deceived by the serpent (Satan) so sin did not enter into the world until Adam ate of the forbidden fruit also; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man (ADAM) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned; Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:12: They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Everyone who is born has Adams sin nature from birth. However, God does not hold anyone accountable until they reach the age of reasoning and can make their own decisions about what is right or wrong. Only God knows when each person reaches that state of accountability for their sins.
No one can enter heaven unless their sins are paid for through the shed blood of Christ Jesus. This is the good news of a, loving God, Hebrews 9 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Christ Jesus paid the penalty for the sins of mankind at Calvary 2,000 years ago. All God asks of mankind is to believe the Gospel of our salvation which is found in 1 Corinthian 15: 1-4: 1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 6: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Our sins were paid for by Jesus Christ and there is NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED, Acts 4:19-12: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Do you believe that?? God makes it clear that no one can be saved except through Jesus Christs name who paid the penalty for the sins of all mankind at Calvary.
Ephesians 2: 4-7: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
However, belief is required to have the shed blood of Christ apply to each and every person. Some people believe that the shed blood of Christ is automatically applied to their lives and will go to heaven when they die. NOT TRUE!!! Ephesians 1:12-14 says: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest (guarantee) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Romans 3:22: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:
1 Thessalonians 2:10: Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.
Ephesians 3:1-6: For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.
Titus 2:13: Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 15-16 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting Today, we must follow Poul’s epistles for salvation. Romans through Philemon are Paul’s Epistles.
Romans 2:16: (The apostle Pau speaking says): In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Romans 1: Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.
1 Corinthians 14:36-37: If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I (Paul) write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Note: Anyone who rejects God’s offer to believe in the shed blood of Christ for the forgiveness of their sins will end up in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
2 Thessalonians 2:10: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
II Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance .( Repentance means a change of mind or turn around from doing wrong, to doing what is right in God’s sight.
Revelation 20:15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Every person’s name is written in the book of life. But if you die in unbelief in the shed blood of Christ, your name will be taken out of the book of life.
Everyone has been given free will by God. He will not force you to do anything against you will.
So, if you reject God’s offer to be saved by grace through faith alone in what Jesus Christ accomplished on your behalf at Calvary you will end up in the lake of fire in torment for eternity!! God will put you where you want to go. It’s your choice.
Please make the right choice now. Once you die it will be to late to change your mind. Eternity is forever! My desire is the sane as God’s, not willing that any should perish. Now is the day of salvation!
